Forty-seven years, hundreds of discarded oxygen bottles and tons ofdebris later, the highest camp of Everest is known as the world's highest trashdump. In May 2000, a group of environmentalists executed a full-scale cleanupof this extraordinary natural wonder. Narrated by Sharon Stone and stunninglyphotographed by high altitude cinematographer Jeff Rhoads (NationalGeographic's A Footprint on Everest), Beyond the Summit: The EverestEnvironmental Expedition documents their arduous endeavor.
