The jury's statement: "For the powerful presentation of the mass social movement and commitment of the producers to the movement's arguments.""Tambogrande" also won the Special Jury Award at Brazil's Environmental Film Festival, Bahia in September 2007.In November 2007 "Tambogrande" won the Union Latina prize, awarded by special youth jury, at the 12th annual Festival of Latin American Film in Trieste, Italy. The jury's statement: "It reflects cultural elements as well as the Latin American reality with social problems, which are barely reported worldwide."At the 4th Annual Paris Peruvian Film Festival in Paris, in November 2007 "Tambogrande" won the Prix le Soleil Tournant for best documentary."Tambogrande" recieved the Plaque de honor from the president of Italy´s Lazio region, after the presentation given on November 15, 2007 during the "Squarci di Cinema Latinoamericano III" festival held in Rome, the region's capital.
