He has never been interviewed and won't allow his photograph to be taken. As well as creating the commercially successful Spider-Man and equally influential Dr Strange, Master of the Mystic Arts, the artist was responsible for post-Marvel creations such as The Creeper, The Hawk and the Dove, and Mr A.Jonathan Ross travels around the world to meet Ditko's co-workers and fans, to understand more about the comic genius and his incredible body of work. And finally, in the run up to the artist's 80th birthday, Jonathan tries to meet the man himself.
